OUR HISTORY

In 1998, brothers Abbas and Bassel El Hassanieh formed a small dabke group, performing at family weddings and celebrations. Seeing the overwhelming response, they turned their hobby into a business and were initially known as the Mayadeen Dabke Group. The group specialized in traditional and folkloric Lebanese dance, including the famous sword and shield show, and was featured at national events, in local theatre productions and in special televised events.

By 2000, they established Zaffat.com to meet their client's growing demands and strived to offer more to their audiences. They choreographed new zaffe shows with a contemporary twist and succeeded in delighting audiences with one-of-a-kind performances that have made Zaffat.com the most well-known zaffe troupe in the country.

Zaffat.com presents the traditional arts of Middle Eastern, European and American folk dance in fabulous contemporary style. A unique mixture of customers, colors and music make the native dances of Egypt, Lebanon, Hawaii, Andalusia, England, Scotland and many more nations come alive in true spirit.

Having toured throughout the Middles East, Zaffat.com has performed for hundreds of weddings, including those of Middle Eastern Royal Families, and has received local and international acclaim for its precise attention to detail and technique constantly strives to provide the very best in wedding and event entertainment in an exciting new and artistic manner. We are proudly recognized as the best ensemble troupe in Lebanon to represent the essential art of dance and entertainment.

Made up of 80 dancers, 50 men and 30 women, the Zaffat.com troupe performs with a passion that distinguishes it from the competition. Every season, our team dedicates itself to countless hours of practice, choreographing new company shows and tailor-made performances inspired by the requests of our clientele.

Year after year, Zaffat.com recruits more of Lebanon's top dancers to meets the demands of growing business. This rising popularity is owed, most of all, to the group's pure enjoyment of performing and the added value their passion brings to every Zaffat.com event.
